Bulic told reporters that the talks had also tackled the
safety of Croatian airports, especially the one near Dubrovnik, as
well as Bonsor's intentions to head a group of British business
people in their visit to Croatia late August or early September.
The aim of the visit would be to inform British investors
about the possibilities of investing in Croatian tourism,
especially in the construction of a golf course, and also for
Britain to contribute to Croatia's introduction into British
tourist agencies for 1997.
Presenting the Croatian tourist offer to British agency
representatives among whom were representatives from large agencies
as "Thompson", "First Choice" and "Airtours", Bulic said that his
ministry was ready to offer financial support those British
agencies which were willing to include Croatia in their programs
for 1997.
Croatia plans to contribute Ł1 million for subsidies of
flights from Great Britain to Croatia, Bulic said.
Croatia expects some 25,000 to 30,000 guests from Britain to
arrive in Croatia this tourist season.
