Croatian-Italian relations, the Croatian Foreign Ministry said in a statement.

Biscevic, on Monday received the new Italian Ambassador to Croatia,
Francesco Olivieri, on his first working visit. They discussed the
situation in Croatia and Croatian-Italian relations, the Croatian

Olivieri said that Italy supported a peaceful reintegration of
the Croatian Danubian area and Croatia's entry into the Council of
Europe.
Discussing the bilateral relations between Croatia and Italy,
Biscevic and Olivieri both said that an agreement on the protection
of minorities and agreements on friendship, economic cooperation,
etc. should be signed as soon as possible.
They also talked about concrete issues regarding the securing
of rights of the Italian minority in Croatia, such as the "Edit"
project (a publishing company of the Italian minority) and the
Italian Union (an association of Italians in Croatia).
