Minister Granic thanked for the support the German
parliamentarians gave to Croatia during the vote on its admission
to the Council of Europe and stressed the great importance Croatia
attached to good relations with Germany.
On the basis of U.N. Security Council resolutions and on the
basis of the work of the Transitional Administration for eastern
Slavonia, Baranja and western Srijem, Croatia held that the process
of peaceful reintegration could be carried out within planned time
limit, Granic said. He reiterated Croatia's readiness to cooperate
with international organisations and institutions in charge of the
protection of human and minority rights.
Speaking about Croatia's foreign policy, Granic said that his
country attached great importance to its integration into European
institutional and security mechanisms and to the strengthening of
the Federation of Bosnia-Herzegovina.
The German Bundestag delegation informed Minister Granic about
the development of cooperation between the Bundestag and the
Croatian parliament.
