Four conference papers discussed the history of Islam in
Croatia. During the next two days, participants are to discuss the
cultural status of Moslems, the Moslem community in Croatia and its
social and political norms.
Organizers of the festivity pointed out that the Moslem
community in Croatia was one of the few with an almost one hundred-
year history in a predominantly catholic country.
Participating in the symposium are representatives of the
Catholic church, of the public and political life in Croatia.
