ZAGREB, April 22 (Hina) - The Zagreb-based daily VJESNIK runs
front-page stories in its Monday edition on Italy's third general
election in the last four years and the Yeltsin-Clinton meeting in
Moscow.
The Vjesnik front page also includes coverage of a wreath-
laying ceremony in commemoration of the victims of the World War
Two concentration camp at Jasenovac.
Ahead of a Zagreb City Council session scheduled for Monday,
Vjesnik runs an article under the headline "Opposition Alliance -
Ping, HDZ - Pong," with statements by some party leaders.
Another Zagreb-based daily VECERNJI LIST carries an article on
the arrival of the newly-appointed European Union administrator of
Mostar, Ricardo Peres Casado. Upon his arrival in Mostar on Sunday
evening, Casado held a meeting with the EU administration in the
town.
Vecerji List runs a commentary headlined "Open Competition for
Zagreb" on Saturday's electoral meeting of the Zagreb branch of the
Croatian Democratic Union (HDZ) party.
