ZAGREB, April 18 (Hina) - Veselin Pejnovic, a Serbian People's
Party member of the Croatian parliament, told a press conference in
Zagreb on Thursday that he would resign unless Serbian politicans,
particularly those in parliament, stop arguing and radicalizing the
Serbian issue in Croatia.#L#
"I am thinking of leaving my seat to my deputy if we fail to
find common ground in representing Serbian interests in Croatia,"
Pejnovic said, adding that "Djukic's and Pupovac's (the other two
representatives of the Serbian minority) radicalization of views on
solving the Serbian issue in Croatia is counterproductive".
The principal interests of the Serbs in Croatia were the same
as those of all other Croatian citizens, Pejnovic said. "They
include the right to work and the right to social status, from
which all other rights will derive", he concluded.
