ZAGREB, 18 April (Hina) - Malaysia fully supported the main aims of
Croatia's state policy and the peaceful reintegration of eastern
Slavonia. It shared with Croatia the same vision of the post-war
Bosnia-Herzegovina, Malaysian Premier Mohamad Mahathir said in
Zagreb on Thursday. #L#
During the talks with his Croatian counterpart Zlatko Matesa
who presented the main goals of Croatia's state policy, Mahathir
said the two countries had 'very similar views about the future of
this region'.
The two premiers stressed the need for the participation of
both Malaysian and Croatian companies in the reconstruction of
Bosnia-Herzegovina. Speaking about his stance regarding Bosnia-
Herzegovina, Mahathir said that the nations living in Bosnia-
Herzegovina should have equal rights.
The two premiers also discussed bilateral relations. Stressing
excellent relations between Croatia and Malaysia, Premier Matesa
said that Malaysia had helped Croatia in what might have been the
most difficult moment in its history, adding that 'there are great
prospects for good bilateral cooperation'.
