Bosnian army soldiers would be able to use the wages to pay
taxes, buy business premises and shares or buy off apartments.
Probably no cash payments would be made because the budget could
not afford it at the moment, Bosnian Deputy Minister of Defense
Hasan Cengic said in a statement carried by today's issue of the
Sarajevo-based daily 'Oslobodjenje'.
According to the Presidency decision, Croatian Defence Council
(HVO) soldiers should also have the right to receive wages.
However, this was still not legally regulated, because Sarajevo
authorities hold that HVO soldiers had been receiving regular wages
during the war.
