Casado would take over the office of the former EU
Administrator of Mostar, Hans Koschnik, who left Mostar on 2 April.
Metscher informed reporters about his participation in last
Wednesday's meeting of 15 European Union member-countries in
Brussels. The participants in the meeting discussed the extension
of the EU Administration mandate in Mostar, Metscher said, adding
that the formal decision on this issue would be reached by foreign
ministers of EU countries by the end of May this year at the
latest.
The official mandate of the EU Administration ends on 23 July
this year.
According to Metscher, the most important task currently was
to continue the implementation of the Dayton agreement and hold
elections in Mostar by the end of May.
