ZAGREB, 10 April (Hina) - 'Slobodna Dalmacija' photographer Niksa Antonini, killed in a U.S. plane crash last Wednesday, was buried today at the central Zagreb cemetery of Mirogoj.

The president of the Croatian Journalists' Association, Jagoda
Vukusic, recalled Antonini's numerous Homeland war photos, which
earned him the reputation of one of Croatia's best war
photographers.
'Slobodna Dalmacija' editor-in-chief Krunoslav Kljakovic also
paid last respects to Niksa Antonini.
Expressing condolences to Antonini's family and the Croatian
public on behalf of the U.S. government, U.S. Ambassador Peter
Galbraith said that Antonini died together with U.S. officials in a
peace mission.
Before Antonini's burial, a commemoration was held in the
Croatian Journalists' Association building.
