EXCERPTS FROM ZAGREB ARCHBISHOP'S EASTER MESSAGE

ZAGREB, April 6 (Hina) - The following are excerpts from an Easter message by the Archbishop of Zagreb, Cardinal Franjo Kuharic, which was broadcast by Croatian television and radio on Saturday: "Christ's deliverance from evil, sin and hatred brings forth a new man who harmonizes his life and his relationships with God's principles of righteousness. "It is a better world in which hatreds, injustices, violence, dishonouring of people and killings have to be quenched. "A God's world must happen in human hearts so that it could happen among people; truth and righteousness tear down the walls of enmity among people and nations. "Truth and righteousness are the principles and conditions of a just policy, a just economy, social security, human rights protection and the inviolability of a person's dignity, home and property. "A true freedom fairly apportions the rights and duties of all people so that they can, at all levels, build their humanity, skills and conscientiousness into the common good." "Through Christ's crucifixion and resurrection we can speak words of encouragement and hope to the displaced, wounded, detained, imprisoned, oppressed, sick and dying."
