The talks with Thai Vice Premier Amnuay Virawan and Foreign
Minister Kasem Kasemsrie tackled bilateral relations, especially
possibilities of economic cooperation between Croatia and Thailand.
The Thai hosts were interested most in the situation in
Croatia, its security, stability and possible investments. They
were also interested in the situation in Bosnia-Herzegovina.
'I believe that this visit is going to be the beginning of a
serious cooperation. After these meetings, the most important ones
will be meetings of businessmen', Minister Granic said after the
talks.
As possible fields of cooperation, Croatia offered tourism,
shipbuilding and the renting of Rijeka and Ploce ports for the
passage of Thai products to Eastern and Central Europe.
Granic added that the Thai foreign minister had accepted his
invitation to visit Croatia.
