Minister Stern described economic relations between Bavaria
and Croatia as good and stressed Croatia's interest in cooperation
with Bavarian companies in the areas of road construction, military
and civil programs in aircraft industry, power industry,
telecommunications, banking, tourism and hotel management.
Croatia was also interested in cooperation between Croatian
producers of car components and Bavarian producers of cars and
trucks.
'We are very interested in possible organization of a
Croatian-Bavarian centre for managers' programs as well as in
cooperation with Bavarian companies on third markets, especially in
Bosnia-Herzegovina', Stern said.
Stern also asked the Bavarian Government to help Croatia in
its efforts to join the PHARE program and the World Trade
Organisation.
The Bavarian minister Wiesheu stressed that Bavarian companies
were interested in all proposed economic programs, adding that
Bavaria would help the establishment of Croatia's small and medium
enterprise with its technology and advisors.
As regards modalities of cooperation, Wiesheu proposed that a
two-day seminar be organised, adding that there was a possibility
that a Croatian-Bavarian managers' center be established in Rijeka.
