The document on returning the land which had been rented by
the Spanish troops was on Wednesday signed by the head of the Croat
Herzeg-Bosnian government office for relations with IFOR and other
international organizations, Slobodan Bozic, and the Commander of
the Spanish IFOR brigade, General Luis Palacios Zuasti.
The Spanish troops have moved to Nevesinje (eastern
Herzegovina) a month ago. At the moment, 1770 Spanish soldiers were
deployed in IFOR bases in Dracevo, Medjugorje, eastern (Moslem)
Mostar and the Mostar airport Trebinje, a spokesman for the Spanish
IFOR brigade, Antonio Castro said.
He added that 14 Spanish soldiers had been killed during the
war in Bosnia, while participating in the peace mission.
