SPLIT, March 12 (Hina) - The Italian warship "Zefferio", which is a part of the NATO force, on Tuesday entered the Split harbour for a four-day visit to the Croatian Navy. Maurizio Gemigniani, Captain of the ship held a press
conference on board the Zefferio on Monday. Gemigniani said he was the commander of one of the five NATO warships whose task was to ensure a safe passage for IFOR ships which supported NATO units deployed in Bosnia-Herzegovina.

"Our job is to patrol accesses to Adriatic ports," Gemigniani
said.
The Zefferio was equipped primarily for anti-submarine warfare
and had 220 sailors and 24 officers," Gemigniani said.
