spokesman in Sarajevo Simon Haselock told a press conference in Sarajevo today, adding that the NATO Council last Wednesday had determined new guidelines for cooperation between IFOR and bodies in charge of implementation of the civil part of the peace agreement.

Implementation Force (IFOR) in Bosnia-Herzegovina have yet not
received any instructions on the basis of which they could expect
that their mission would be broadened, IFOR spokesman in Sarajevo
Simon Haselock told a press conference in Sarajevo today, adding
that the NATO Council last Wednesday had determined new guidelines
for cooperation between IFOR and bodies in charge of implementation
of the civil part of the peace agreement. #L#
NATO officials were aware of the fact that the success of the
Dayton agreement depended both on the implementation of its
military and civil parts. It had been decided that IFOR would help
organisations which are not exclusively in charge of military
security.
Such assistance, Haselock said, would be provided on the basis
of individual requests to IFOR which would be approved by IFOR
commanders.
