MOSTAR, Feb 20 (Hina) - About 300 people from the Moslem-controlled
east part of Mostar crossed into the west Croat-held sector in the
first half an hour after restrictions on freedom of movement were
lifted at noon on Tuesday in line with the Rome agreement, Bosnian
Croat police said.
Police said that they were not allowed to let in people who
could not produce some kind of ID, so that a substantial number of
them were turned away.
Police stressed that the number of people crossing into west
Mostar was much higher than the number of those going to the east
half of the city.
