ZAGREB, Feb 14 (Hina) - The head of the Croatian President's Office, Ivo Sanader, today received the Banja Luka Bishop Franjo Komarica, a statement from the President's Office said. The meeting focused on the situation in the Banja
Luka area and the present stage of the implementation of the Dayton Peace Accord and, especially, the strengthening of the Croat-Bosniac Federation.
ZAGREB, Feb 14 (Hina) - The head of the Croatian President's
Office, Ivo Sanader, today received the Banja Luka Bishop Franjo
Komarica, a statement from the President's Office said.
The meeting focused on the situation in the Banja Luka area
and the present stage of the implementation of the Dayton Peace
Accord and, especially, the strengthening of the Croat-Bosniac
Federation. #L#
Bishop Komarica expressed full support for the policy of the
Croatian President and Croatian state leadership. He also expressed
his thanks for Croatia's care for Bosnian Croat refugees and those
who had remained in Bosnia-Herzegovina. Komarica informed Sanader
about the status of Croats in the Banja Luka area.
A most discussed issue at the meeting was the one about
elections in Bosnia-Herzegovina. Komarica and Sanader discussed the
way Croats living in "Republika Srpska", that is, outside the
Federation, would be politically represented. Sanader promised
Croatia's full support for Croats living outside the Bosnian
Federation in the protection of their civil and national rights.
Sanader congratulated Bishop Komarica on his courage, adding
he highly respected Komarica's role in his struggle for a safe and
dignified life of Croats in the Banja Luka area, the statement
said.
