accompanied by the workers of the Office. The appeal followed an earlier statement of the HHO, a national human rights watchdog, in which the camp was described as "a gathering camp or centre".

ZAGREB, Feb 13 (Hina) - Croatian government Office for Refugees and
Displaced Persons on Tuesday aired an appeal to the members of the
Croatian Helsinki Committee (HHO) to visit a refugee camp in
Gasinci near Djakovo, accompanied by the workers of the Office.
The appeal followed an earlier statement of the HHO, a
national human rights watchdog, in which the camp was described as

"We have been forced to send this appeal because of continuous
accusations made by the HHO against the Office for Refugees and
Displaced Persons in connection with transferring the refugees to
Gasinci and accomodations in this refugee camp," said the appeal.
The media, the Bosnian Ambassador to Croatia, EU Working Group
for humanitarian aid, EU observers mission in Zagreb, UN High
Commisson for Refugees in Zagreb, the International Red Cross and
other organizations in charge of human rights had also been invited
by the Office to visit Gasinci on 17 February, along with HHO
representatives.
