TUZLA, Jan 30 (Hina) - A peaceful demonstration staged yesterday by women from Srebrenica continued in Tuzla today. The women demonstrated against the ineffectiveness of the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) and the
international community in the search for 10,000 men from Srebrenica who were registered missing. They wanted to know about the whereabouts of their husbands, fathers and sons. Even after three hours of waiting in front of the ICRC office in Tuzla, not one of the ICRC officials appeared, so the women went to the Tuzla Canton Government building in order to get the answer to their question.

The Tuzla Canton Government stated that they were surprised at
the behaviour of ICRC officials who in a public statement called
the unfortunate families "raging families".
The Bosnian Government promised the Srebrenica displaced
persons that a Government official would talk to them. They were
also promised to have talks with ICRC and IFOR officials on
Thursday.
The women announced another demonstration on Thursday and said
that they expected little from promises and talks, should they take
place. They also said they might go to Srebrenica, even on foot, if
necessary.
