The weapons, which had been found in an area 10 kilometres
from the separation zones, should have been reported to IFOR under
the Dayton agreement, today's statement from the Sarajevo IFOR
headquarters said.
Out of 183 pieces of heavy weaponry (mainly tanks and canons),
147 belonged to the Serb side, six to the Croatian Defence Council
(HVO) and 30 to the Bosnian army.
The statement also said that the parties should have informed
not only IFOR but also each other about the weapons, since they had
agreed on such a procedure with the aim of establishing the
atmosphere of mutual trust.
