The European Stock Federation Secretary-General, Jean-Pierre
Paelinck, addressed the assembly expressing his faith in the future
for Croatia's potentials and possibilities as well as high
education standards.
After touring the show-rooms, Matesa described the Forum as
successful. He said that many Croatian companies could save
themselves only by double quotations of shares and on other
stockmarkets in Europe, as does Pliva, the first company in central
and eastern Europe whose stocks will be placed on the London stock
market. There were a few young and capable people who would head
the Croatian money market for the next dozen years, Matesa said.
