LJUBLJANA, Feb 6 (Hina) - Croatian and Slovene parliamentary
committees for foreign affairs met for talks in Ljubljana on
Tuesday. #L#
After the talks, the head of the Croatian Parliament Committee
for Foreign Affairs, Zarko Domljan, said that the Croatian
delegation had visited the Slovene Parliament in order to settle
some disputes. He added he held that the talks had yielded good
results.
'Croatian finds it unacceptable that the question of borders,
Ljubljana bank, the nuclear plant in Krsko and the issue of Sveta
Gera be dealt with in the same package. We were very open and clear
about this. To deal with these issues in one package would mean
joint trade, various kinds of blackmailing and making the solution
of one problem conditional on the solution of some other problem,
which means going back to the start', Domljan said. The Slovene
side had shown understanding for Croatia's standpoint, he added.
One of the topics at the talks was also the succession to the
former Yugoslavia as well as Croatia's and Slovenia's attitude
towards the Italian minority in Croatia as well as coordinated work
towards international organisations, Domljan said.
