"I have talked to Croat and Serb representatives as well as
the Tuzla town authorities - I am satisfied with what these people
have told me about the life and human relations in the Canton,"
Rehn said.
Most of the reporters' questions were about Rehn's trip to
Srebrenica.
"The goal of my visit was to talk to the representatives of
both entities of the Republic of Bosnia-Herzegovina," Rehn said.
"I went to Srebrenica with the same goal in mind, but I only
talked with the Serb side there," she said.
"I asked the Srebrenica Mayor if there were any people doing
forced labour there. He said nobody in Srebrenica did forced
labour, but some of those people could be in Serbia and, if so, he
knew nothing about it," she elaborated.
"I must say that no figures were mentioned in talking about
the missing Moslems who are supposed to be in the area," she said.
"We found dead bodies in the village of Kravice and collected
their IDs, which we are going to deliver to the International Red
Cross," she said.
"Unfortunately, this means that the missing persons list will
be shorter now," she concluded.
Last night, Rehn met Srebrenica women refugees accommodated in
Tuzla and promised them IFOR would organise for them to visit
Srebrenica and try to find missing family members.
