OSIJEK, Feb 1 (Hina) - Croatian and Serb agriculturalists met for talks at the UN checkpoint between Nemetin and Sarvas on Thursday. This is the first such meeting, the head of the Croatian government office for establishing Croatian
authorities in eastern Slavonia, Baranja and western Srijem, Ivica Vrkic, told the press. The meeting tackled preparations that need to be done for the spring sowing.
OSIJEK, Feb 1 (Hina) - Croatian and Serb agriculturalists met for
talks at the UN checkpoint between Nemetin and Sarvas on Thursday.
This is the first such meeting, the head of the Croatian government
office for establishing Croatian authorities in eastern Slavonia,
Baranja and western Srijem, Ivica Vrkic, told the press. The
meeting tackled preparations that need to be done for the spring

"We are planning to sow all 103,000 hectares of fertile land
in the occupied areas this year. This should be an introduction to
the beginning of the Transitional Administration's work as well as
the first step in establishing Croatian authorities in the area",
Vrkic said .
He added that the agriculturalists should hold meetings every
week. He also said that the representatives of the Government
Commission for detained and missing persons had talked with Serb
representatives at the checkpoint as well.
