SWISS FOREIGN MINISTER HOLDS PRESS CONFERENCE AFTER TALKS WITH TUD

$ JMAN ZAGREB, Jan 29 (Hina) - Switzerland, which is presiding over the Organisation for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE), supports the implementation of the Dayton peace agreement as well as the peaceful development of the situation in the Balkans, the Swiss Foreign Minister and OSCE chairman Flavio Cotti told reporters after he held talks with Croatian President Franjo Tudjman in Zagreb today. He described his meeting with Tudjman as 'very important', stressing that 'Croatia is playing the main role in the implementation of the peace agreement'.

The talks had also tackled the peaceful reintegration of eastern Slavonia and the situation in Mostar, Cotti said, adding that the resolution of the Mostar problem would have a symbolic meaning for Switzerland which was a multinational society.
