GENEVA, Jan 26 (Hina) - Swiss Foreign Minister Flavio Cotti is to
visit Croatia on Monday, January 29. He will be received by
Croatian President Franjo Tudjman.
The visit coincides with the OSCE "troika"'s visit to Sarajevo
and possibly Belgrade. This year, the troika includes Switzerland,
Hungary and Denmark.
"The Swiss minister's visit to Zagreb points to a quality
change in the relations between the two countries," Croatian
Ambassador to Switzerland Zdenko Skrabalo said.
At a recent meeting with Minister Granic in Strasbourg,
Minister Cotti announced that Switzerland planned to cancel visa
requirements for Croatian citizens in the near future, Skrabalo
recalled.
Cotti also said he would support the signing of two important
bilateral agreements - on investment protection and on double
taxation avoidance, according to Skrabalo.
