ZAGREB, Jan 11 (Hina) - Croatia has been very helpful and
cooperative with NATO in the deployment of IFOR troops in Bosnia-
Herzegovina, Supreme Allied Commander for Europe Gen. George
Joulwan said in Zagreb on Thursday after meeting Croatian
President Franjo Tudjman.
We are very grateful to Croatia for cooperation and
assistance it has provided in harbours and airports, on roads and
railways, and during the construction of a pontoon bridge over
the Sava river, Joulwan said.
He said that the IFOR peace operation in Bosnia-Herzegovina
had a good start and that it was proceeding according to
schedule.
Joulwan was accompanied by NATO Secretary General Javier
Solana.
