ZAGREB, 11 Dec (Hina) - The World Bank will most probably support
one of the largest projects in Croatia - the reform of Croatia's
pension system.
Proof of the intensive and good cooperation between the World Bank
and Croatia is the fact that the World Bank sent Croatia a request
asking to open its office in Zagreb. The office would start working
on 1 January 1998, said Croatian Finance Minister Borislav Skegro
at a Government session in Zagreb Thursday.
Health Minister Andrija Hebrang informed the Government members
about the completed reintegration of the health system in the
Croatian Danube river region into Croatia's health system.
We worked more than a year on that very complex project, Hebrang
said, recalling the difficulties in the return to Vukovar hospital,
which was the site of the most terrible war crimes following the
occupation of the town.
The successful completion of the reintegration process reflected
in the fact that 50 health workers - Croatian displaced - had
returned to Vukovar hospital, said Hebrang, adding that all heads
of health institutions in the Danube river region were Croats.
Laws which have not been adjusted to the Constitution should be sent
into parliamentary procedure as soon as possible, the Government
members agreed.
