ZAGREB, 9 Dec (Hina) - The most important task of organisations for
the protection of human rights in the next year will be to secure the
right to return for all displaced people and refugees from Croatia,
representatives of the Coordination of Organisations for the
Protection and Promotion of Human Rights in Croatia said at a press
conference held in Zagreb Tuesday.
The conference was organised on the occasion of 10 December - the
international day of human rights.
Representatives of organisations for the protection of human
rights said the problem of the return of Croatian citizens of Serb
nationality, who are in exile in the Federal Republic of Yugoslavia
or Republika Srpska, was being neglected.
They asked the Croatian embassy in Belgrade to start 'giving legal
and every other kind of assistance to its exiled citizens and to
issue all documents necessary for their return'.
Croatia should open its office in Banja Luka, which would care about
its citizens living in exile in Republika Srpska in the same way,
they said.
