ZAGREB, Nov 14 (Hina) - A two-day conference called "Current Topics
of Constitutional Judiciary" began in Zagreb on Friday in the
organization of the Hanns Seidel Foundation and the Croatian Human
Rights Institute. In attendance are representatives of German,
Austrian, Slovene and Croatian constitutional courts, as well as
numerous scientists and Croatian state officials.
An introductory speech on "constitutional court binding decisions"
was made by Croatian constitutional court vice president Velimir
Belajec.
The president of the German constitutional court, Jutta Limbach,
was given the Honorary Member Charter of the Croatian Human Rights
Institute.
Speeches were also made by the head of the Institute, Nikola
Filipovic, a Hanns Seidel representative, Hans-Friedrich von
Solemacher, Croatian constitutional court president Jadranko
Crnic, German Ambassador to Croatia Volker Haak, and the president
of the Croatian Bar Association, Mario Kos.
