VUKOVAR, Dec 1 (Hina) - A delegation of the Croatian Parliament's
Education and Science Committee visited several schools in the UN-
administered Danube river region on Monday, where they met
headmasters and teachers to discuss main problems in the
reintegration of the region's education system into Croatia.
After visiting a primary and a secondary school in Vukovar,
committee deputy chairman Antun Vujic said progress had been made
in resolving education problems after some practical issues had
been resolved and political obstacles overcome.
The parliamentary delegation also visited the UN headquarters
where they met behind closed doors with UN civil affairs chief
Gerard Fischer.
Vujic said after the meeting that the remaining misunderstandings
should be solved in line with the highest education standards.
