MOSTAR, Dec 1 (Hina) - The Herzegovina-Neretva Canton Assembly on
Monday elected new canton officials.
Zeljko Obradovic of the Croatian Democratic Union Party of Bosnia-
Herzegovina (HDZ BH) was elected prefect, while former prefect
Fatima Leho, of the Coalition for an Integral and Democratic
Bosnia-Herzegovina, was elected his deputy, in line with the
Canton's constitution and an inter-party agreement between the
Bosnian HDZ and the Coalition, which is headed by the Party of
Democratic Action (SDA).
Former cantonal vice premier Ramiz Leto was elected premier, while
former premier Franjo Ljubic was elected vice premier of the
Herzegovina-Neretva Canton.
Hamo Maslesa of the SDA-led Coalition was elected president of the
cantonal Assembly, while former Assembly president Ivan Bender, of
the Bosnian HDZ, was elected vice president.
