SARAJEVO, Nov 10 (Hina) - The Bosnian mission of the Organization
for Security and Cooperation in Europe welcomes the resignation of
Milan Sutalo to the office of chief editor of Croatian Television
Mostar, OSCE spokesman in Sarajevo Johan Verhayden said in Sarajevo
Monday.
Sutalo handed in his resignation Saturday due to disagreement with
a decision on reading the Sarajevo-based OSCE media commission's
statement in news broadcasts on Croatian Television Mostar.
According to Verhayden, the OSCE hopes the statement in which
Croatian Television Mostar is to apologize for violation of
professional standards and use of abusive expressions will be read
in the following days, maybe even tonight.
Ambassador Robert Frowick, head of the OSCE mission in Bosnia,
discussed the matter on the highest political level. We received
guarantees that the decision of the OSCE media commission would be
complied with, Verhayden said.
