VUKOVAR, Nov 4 (Hina) - Passes for vehicles entering the Danube
river region of eastern Croatia will be annulled on 19 November when
vehicles will be allowed to enter the area with only a brief form
filled at UNTAES checkpoints, the UN Transitional Administration
in the region (UNTAES) said in a statement on Tuesday.
As of 19 November, vehicles would be allowed to enter the Danubian
area between 06.00 and 22.00 hours without passes.
Drivers will be required to write their names, license plate
numbers, ID numbers and destinations in the Danubian region in a
form at a UNTAES checkpoint.
The UNTAES also reported on the sponsored visits programme which
ended on Monday.
The sponsored visits programme had been established last December,
and about 155,000 people had used the programme to enter the
Danubian region so far, the statement said.
