ZAGREB, Nov 3 (Hina) - The reintegration of the health system in the
Danube river region of eastern Croatia has been fully completed
with the an agreement health institutions in the UN-administered
part of eastern Croatia signed with the Croatian Health Insurance
Bureau on their funding, the Croatian Health Ministry said in a
statement on Monday.
The health system in the UN-administered part of eastern Croatia
had gradually adapted to Croatian regulations, the statement said.
Agreements concerning all issues had been reached with the
mediation of the UNTAES and the World Health Organization, it
added.
Work contracts were signed with 440 employees at the Vukovar
General Hospital, with 165 employees at the Vukovar Hospital, and
with 191 employee at the Beli Manastir Hospital, the statement
added.
The issue of the return of all displaced hospital staff had still
not been settled, the health ministry statement said, adding a
faster return depended on accommodation, to be seen to in the next
months.
