VUKOVAR, 17 Oct (Hina) - The commander of the Croatian army Fifth Guards Brigade, Brigadier Ivan Obrovac, on Friday held talks with Vukovar County Prefect Rudolf Koenig and mayor Vladimir Stengl on the possibility of including
Croatian army engineering units in the process of reconstruction of the Danube river region. Brigadier Obrovac is not visiting Vukovar in his capacity as an army brigadier, we rather want to see how the Croatian army could join the reconstruction process in the Danube river region, Prefect Koenig said, adding that county authorities had asked military authorities for help.

Guards Brigade, Brigadier Ivan Obrovac, on Friday held talks with

The Croatian army engineering units could perform many
construction works in the area, for example on the highway gas
pipeline or the Danube-Sava river channel, Koenig added.
Brigadier Obrovac was dressed in civilian clothes and did not
give any statements to reporters.
