RADIC CONGRATULATES BOZANIC ON ELECTION AS PRESIDENT OF BISHOPS CONFER

CONFER $ ENCE ZAGREB, Oct 16 (Hina) - The Deputy Prime Minister and Chairman of the State Commission for Relations with Religious Communities, Jure Radic, sent a letter to Zagreb Archbishop Josip Bozanic on Thursday, congratulating him on his election as President of the Croatian Bishops' Conference. "On behalf of the President of the Republic and the Government, I congratulate you on your election as President of the Croatian Bishops' Conference. "Confident that you will firmly and steadfastly, like your glorious predecessors, lead the (Roman Catholic) Church, which now enjoys full freedom in the restored, defended and democratic Croatian State, the State of justice, love and peace, I pray to God to grant you health and enthusiasm to perform this responsible duty for the glory of God and for the benefit of the Croatian people," the letter said.
