Radic stressed that Pliva was the first company which had
responded to the call of Croatian President Franjo Tudjman for help
with the reconstruction of Vukovar. Calling on other companies and
the Croatian diaspora to help with the reconstruction of Vukovar,
Radic described the signing of the contract as the start of Croatian
economy, its most elite part, in the reconstruction of the Danubian
area.
Covic generally accepted Radic's wish that Pliva set aside the
second half of the sources necessary for the reconstruction of the
pharmacy, from its revenue next year.
