Scheffers stressed that Croatia had made a number of big steps
towards solving the problem, but, according to him, tension between
Serbs and Croats should decrease.
Tomas stressed the safety situation had improved
significantly, and one of priorities was solving the private
property issue and economic reconstruction.
"So far, 1082 citizens of Serb nationality have returned in an
organised fashion to Knin, while the number of those who have
arrived unorganised is by far larger, as much as six times larger. A
part of them moved into their homes and the remainder of the cases
will be resolved in line with Croatian laws," Tomas said.
