A car-bomb exploded near the police headquarters in west
Mostar
on 18 September at 23.40, injuring 30 people, destroying 120 flats
and as many vehicles.
The car contained 40 kilograms of military explosives.
The police had identified another vehicle, stolen from the
Tuzla-Podrina Canton, in connection to the car-bomb, Bilic said.
The investigation was headed by "the Herzegovina-Neretva
Canton police, with the aid of the Federal police and with the
supervision of the International Police Task Force (IPTF)".
UN representatives in Mostar, Kelly Moore, expressed concern
about the fact that cantonal authorities were reluctant in allowing
the full participation of the Federal investigation team, as well as
IPTF monitors.
According to her, the Herzegovina-Neretva Canton Interior
Ministry should submit all the information about the investigation
to the federal team and IPTF.
