ZAGREB, Sept 22 (Hina) - Turkish President Suleyman Demirel and his wife arrived in Zagreb on Monday for a three-day official visit to Croatia, at the invitation of Croatian President Franjo Tudjman.

wife arrived in Zagreb on Monday for a three-day official visit to
Croatia, at the invitation of Croatian President Franjo Tudjman. #L#
Demirel was welcomed at the Zagreb airport by Croatian
Parliament deputy presidents Ivica Kostovic and Jadranka Kosor, head
of the President's Military Cabinet, Lt. Gen. Miljenko Crnjac, and
assistant Foreign Minister Hidajet Biscevic.
The meeting between Tudjman and Demirel and talks between a
Croatian and a Turkish delegation, headed by the two presidents, are
to take place on Monday evening.
The Turkish state delegation consists of State Minister Isin
Celebi, Transport Minister Necdet Menzir, Culture Minister Istemihan
Talay and some thirty business people representing big Turkish
companies interested in a firmer cooperation with Croatian
companies.
Demirel is to address members of the Croatian Parliament on
Tuesday and both presidents Tudjman and Demirel are to address
Croatian and Turkish business people, members of the Croatian-
Turkish Business Council, at the Croatian Chamber of Commerce on
Tuesday.
An agreement on avoiding double taxation is to be signed
during Demirel's visit.
Demirel is also on Tuesday to receive an honorary doctorate at
the University of Zagreb.
He will visit Dubrovnik on Wednesday, the third day of his
visit to Croatia.
