There were several reasons, primarily numerous complaints
received by the OSCE mission, for this delay in the announcement of
election results, Foley said.
The Temporary Election Commission and the Appeals Election
Sub-Commission are considering every individual complaint so as to
check whether the election process had been conducted without major
mistakes and to confirm the technical validity of the elections.
However, the Temporary Election Commission will not carry out
the final verification of the municipal elections in Bosnia after
the results are made known, as according to election rules and
regulations the elections can be finally confirmed only after
election results have been implemented in all municipalities, Foley
said.
