On 18 July, the Trial Chamber, chaired by U.S. judge
Gabrielle Kirk McDonald, confirmed its decision of January this
year, when Kirk McDonald signed a subpoena requesting the
Croatian Defence Minister to submit to the Tribunal some
documents the prosecutors think could underpin the indictment of
general Blaskic.
Croatia's delegation to attend the discussion will include
the same people who participated in a discussion held earlier in
April - the head of the Croatian mission in the United Nations in
New York, Ivan Simonovic, Croatia's standing monitor in the ICTY,
Ivo Josipovic, the president of the Croatian Government Office
for Cooperation with ICTY, Srecko Jelinic, Croatia's Ambassador
to The Hague, Jaksa Muljacic and U.S. attorneys David Rivkin and
Kate Baragona.
After it considers all opinions, the Chamber of Appeals is
expected to publish its decision in the form of a written
statement.
