WASHINGTON, 19 Sept (Hina) - Plaques bearing the names of persons from 37 countries, including Croatia, who were given 'The Righteous Among Peoples' award, were placed in The Garden of the Righteous, which was ceremonially opened in
the El Paso Holocaust Museum, Texas, United States on Thursday.

Righteous Among Peoples' award, were placed in The Garden of the
Righteous, which was ceremonially opened in the El Paso Holocaust

On behalf of the Republic of Croatia, deputy ambassador in
the Croatian Embassy in Washington, Andrija Jakovcevic, put the
Croatian flag alongside a plaque bearing the name of the Croat
Ivan Vranetic, who was presented with 'The Righteous Among
Peoples' award by the state of Israel.
The opening ceremony was also attended by a former
commander of the U.S. army joint headquarters, General Colin
Powell.
