MOSTAR, Sept 13 (Hina) - High Representative of the international
community for Bosnia-Herzegovina, Carlos Westendorp, on Saturday
hailed the decision of the Herzegovina-Neretva Canton Assembly to
adopt an amendment to the Canton's Constitution.

Head of the Mostar regional office of the international
community, Martin Garrod, described the adoption of the amendment
as the most important step for the town of Mostar.
International Police Task Force (IPTF) spokeswoman in
Mostar, Kelly Moore, praised the canton police for ensuring the
freedom of movement on Saturday.
Deputy Mayor of Mostar, Safet Orucevic called on the
residents of Mostar via the local east Mostar radio to vote on
Saturday, after the amendment to the Constitution of the
Herzegovina-Neretva Canton had been adopted.
After Orucevic's call, voters have began to cast votes in
east Mostar in the late afternoon.
