SARAJEVO, Sept 10 (Hina) - The Croat member of Bosnia-Herzegovina's
collective presidency, Kresimir Zubak, on Wednesday received
ambassadors Charles Crawford of Britain and Hennecke Graf von
Bassewitz of Germany.
The two ambassadors relayed a joint message from British and
German foreign ministers Robin Cook and Klaus Kinkel regarding a
decision by the Croatian Democratic Union (HDZ) party not to take part in
forthcoming municipal elections, Zubak's office said in a statement.
Expressing regrets that the Croat side had been forced to take such a
decision, Zubak said the aim of that measure was to protect its vital interests
and ensure the existence of the Croatian people in Bosnia-Herzegovina, the
statement said.
