SARAJEVO, Aug 27 (Hina) - Two houses owned by Croats who had
recently returned to the Kakanj area of central Bosnia were blown
up on August 22, UNHCR spokesman Kris Janowski said in Sarajevo
on Wednesday.
Unknown assailants mined the houses in the village of
Lipovci Gornji, which had been repaired with the support of an
Italian humanitarian organisation.
Janowski said that the two houses had been almost
completely destroyed, and that a man and a woman who had been
inside one of the houses had been injured.
Janowski described the incident as an attempted murder. He
said that local authorities were urged to step up security
measures to prevent similar attacks.
