Kauzlarich dismissed any possibility of changing the Dayton
Agreement, and warned that that would lead to a catastrophe.
Kauzlarich, formerly Ambassador to Azerbaijan, told
reporters at the Sarajevo airport before assuming duty on
Wednesday, that the present moment was crucial for the future of
Bosnia-Herzegovina, as well as for the implementation of the
Dayton Agreement.
He said his mission was the complete implementation of the
Dayton Agreement and the laying of the foundation stone for
Bosnia-Herzegovina as a unified state with two multi-ethnic
entities.
Kauzlarich added the US would use all instruments available
to exert pressure on all sides in Bosnia not to refrain from
reached agreements.
He announced strong support to the process of return of
refugees, as well as to the development of independent media, and
stressed that it had been the state-controlled media which had
contributed highly to spreading of hatred among the ethnic groups
in Bosnia.
