The 43-page-long report, which in its title refers to the
policy of revenge and abuse of authority in the towns of Bihac,
Cazin and Velika Kladusa (western Bosnia), describes numerous cases
of discrimination and physical violence against the members of other
political parties.
The Human Rights Watch suggests that the international police
should take measures aimed at dismissing 13 employees of the Canton
Interior Ministry, including Interior Minister Edhem Veladzic.
The Organisation for Security and Cooperation in Europe has
been advised to remove about 15 most prominent SDA officials in the
Una-Sana Canton from election lists, including Canton Prefect Mirsad
Veladzic and the mayors of Bihac, Cazin, Velika Kladusa and Sanski
Most.
The international community has to intervene in cases of such
blatant disrespect for the Dayton agreement, said Holly Cartner, the
Human Rights Watch executive director.
